Maine Moose Hunting

Maine has the largest moose population in the United States. We at Bulldog Camps are lucky enough to be in one of the best hunting zones of the entire state of Maine. Zone 8 gives 235 bull only permits for the October season.

If you are fortunate enough to draw a Maine moose permit for this zone, you are in for the hunt of a lifetime. The area directly surrounding Bulldog Camps offers many 50"- 60" bulls with weights pushing 1000 pounds.

Fully guided "in the woods hunts" are our specialty here at Bulldog. We guarantee several sightings throughout the week of hunting. Maine's Moose season for zone 8 is the third week in October.

"Recently I spent a week moose hunting at Bulldog Camps and honestly I could not have made a better choice. The package included 3 meals, lodging and guide service for two participants. The lodging was clean, comfortable and warm with excellent views of Enchanted Pond and the mountains. The meals were to put it lightly superb. The guide service was no less then amazing. Darren in the first two days, had called in or spotted at least two dozen moose. I was able to pass up two or three until the one I wanted came along.
